Visit The Historic Governors' Mansion 'Tinsel Through Time'
Take a step back in time, and enjoy the splendor of the holidays at the Wyoming Historic Governors' Mansion in Cheyenne. Every year, the Historic Governors' Mansion puts on their festive "Tinsel Through Time" event, which celebrates Christmas with decorations from the last century. This year’s theme is ‘Melodies of Christmas’, in which rooms throughout the house will be decorated based off of famous Christmas songs such as “Deck the Halls,” “Joy to the World,” and more.
Take in the splendor and the magic of Christmas at the Historic Governors' Mansion from November 26 through December 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry is FREE and it is a great activity for the whole family.
The Wyoming State Museum added to the delight of this year's displays by lending historic instruments to enhance the theme of 'Melodies of Christmas’.
The Mansion will also be hosting a few Christmas events for the kids throughout the holiday season. On December 1st and 15th, kids are welcome to come and decorate Christmas cookies. Plus you don't want to miss out on the Christmas Tea for Kids, ages 5-10, happening on December 3, December 10, and December 17. Contact the Mansion for more information at 307-777-7878.
