Things To Do in Cheyenne this Weekend (October 2-4)
Fall is officially here in Cheyenne, and this weekend is a great excuse to get out and enjoy a little of what our community has to offer. Whether you're working on a home project, looking for some family fun, or just want to get out for an evening, here’s a sample of a few things happening around town.
Cheyenne Home Show
Friday Oct. 2, 12:00 pm-6:00 pm | Saturday Oct. 3, 10:00 am-5:00 pm | Sun Oct. 4, 11:00 am-5:00 pm
Of course, we have to start with the Cheyenne Home Show! The Home Show returns to the Event Center at Archer this Friday through Sunday, bringing together vendors and professionals focused on home improvement, remodeling, outdoor living, design, and more. Admission is free!
We're also excited that a couple of our #1 Properties agents will be out enjoying the Home Show this weekend. If you happen to see one of our team members while you're there, be sure to stop and say hello!
Windy Creek Farm Autumn Fest
Saturday Oct. 3 & Sunday Oct. 4 | 10:00 am-5:00 pm
If you're looking for a classic fall outing, head out to Windy Creek Farm Autumn Fest this weekend.
Autumn Fest includes a four-acre pumpkin patch and corn maze, hay maze, kiddie train, kid zone, pumpkin slingshot, pumpkin bowling, food, vendors, games, and plenty of opportunities for fall photos.
Windy Creek Farm will continue hosting Autumn Fest on weekends throughout October. It's a fun one for families and a great way to officially welcome pumpkin season!
Shrek: The Musical
Friday, Oct. 2 & Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7:00 pm | Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2:00 pm
Looking for a fun night out with the family? Shrek: The Musical is taking the stage at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse this weekend! Based on the beloved DreamWorks film, the show brings Shrek, Donkey, Princess Fiona, and plenty of other familiar characters to life with catchy songs, comedy, and a heartwarming story about friendship, acceptance, and embracing what makes us different. Tickets are $21–$31.
Several of our #1 Properties agents have enjoyed seeing the show, so if you're looking for something fun to do this weekend, this one is worth checking out!
Shovels & Rope at The Lincoln
Friday Oct. 2 | 8:00 pm
Looking for something to do Friday night? Shovels & Rope at The Lincoln brings the Charleston-based folk-rock duo to Cheyenne, with Nolan Taylor opening the show.
The Lincoln has become a great addition to Cheyenne's live music scene, so if you haven't checked out a show there yet, this could be a fun excuse to do it.
Nightmare on 17th Street
Friday Oct. 2 & Saturday Oct. 3 | 7:00 pm-11:00 pm
Spooky season is officially underway!
Nightmare on 17th Street returns this weekend for another season of haunted-house scares in downtown Cheyenne. The annual event features 14 individually themed rooms inside the historic Knights of Pythias building.
If haunted houses aren't your thing, you may want to skip this one. If they are your thing...well, you've got somewhere to be Friday night.
A Girl's Girl Book Fair
Saturday Oct. 3 | 2:00 pm-6:00 pm
For something a little different, check out the A Girl's Girl Book Fair on Saturday.
The event brings together indie authors and local vendors for a bookish, fall-themed afternoon with food, games, and plenty of browsing. The organizers describe it as having a witchy, bookish, girlhood-inspired vibe, making it a fun option for anyone who'd rather spend their Saturday haunting a new book than navigating a haunted house.
Enjoy the Weekend!
One of the things we love about living and working in Cheyenne is that there's always something happening around town. From community events to local businesses and seasonal traditions, there are plenty of ways to get out and enjoy the place we call home.
