Fresh Faces, Familiar Flavors

Fresh Faces, Familiar Flavors

Summer in Cheyenne is heating up with five exciting new businesses opening their doors in the coming months, adding even more flavor and flair to our local cuisine scene. From beloved food trucks going brick and mortar to national chains bringing their buzz to town, here’s a look at what’s new and noteworthy:

Ranch Eats Rustic Cafe - 300 E. Thomes Avenue

What started as a popular food truck is now opening its first brick-and-mortar location downtown. Ranch Eats Rustic Cafe is setting up shop in the old Ziggi’s Coffee spot on Thomes Avenue, with a soft opening planned for June 2 and a grand opening event to follow.

Chef Troy, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, launched Ranch Eats with his wife Mikaela in 2022, bringing fresh, locally-sourced meals to the community with heart and flair. At the new cafe, you’ll find much more than just great coffee—expect house-made meals, thoughtful touches, and an atmosphere that feels just as welcoming as their truck windows always did.

Nay & Jays - Frontier Mall

Another local food truck success story, Nay & Jays is officially up and running inside the Frontier Mall. Known for their saucy tagline—“Food for every mood, with the sauce that's the boss”—this new spot brings Chicago and Detroit-style hot dogs, burgers, coneys, and sandwiches indoors.

With a loyal fanbase and a no-nonsense approach to comfort food done right, Nay & Jays is a great reason to swing by the mall even if shopping isn’t on your list.

Olive & Herb - 1507 Stillwater Avenue G

Gourmet food lovers, rejoice! Olive & Herb is bringing its specialty oils, vinegars, spices, and kitchen treasures to Cheyenne—and their grand opening is set for June 3.

Located in the old Mi Tierra spot on Stillwater Avenue, this shop promises to be a paradise for home cooks and gift givers alike. Known for their tasting bar concept and premium, globally sourced products, Olive & Herb offers a hands-on, flavorful experience that makes it easy to elevate your meals or find a unique, high-end gift for the foodie in your life.

Hokkaido Ramen House - 1720 Capitol Avenue

If you’ve been craving authentic ramen, the wait is almost over. Hokkaido Ramen House is coming to the former Capitol Quisine location downtown, bringing cozy bowls of noodles, rice dishes, boba tea, and more.

Originally launched in Montana, this casual ramen chain now boasts locations across 23 states—and Cheyenne is next on the list. The Capitol Avenue spot will be Wyoming’s second Hokkaido Ramen House, joining the Casper location. Keep an eye out for an official opening date, and prepare to be greeted with a warm “Irasshaimase!” when you walk in.

Cheba Hut “Toasted” Subs - 3838 Atkin St. (Pershing Marketplace)

Cheyenne is getting its first Cheba Hut, a cannabis-themed sandwich shop known for its creative branding and seriously stacked subs. While there’s no THC in the food (or for sale), the vibe is unapologetically laid-back and fun.

With over 30 signature subs, salads, soups, and those legendary Rice Krispies treats, Cheba Hut is perfect for a casual lunch or late-night craving. This new spot takes over the former Dog Haus location in Pershing Marketplace and will be the first Cheba Hut in the state.

While an official opening date is still pending, signs are up—and anticipation is high.

Whether you’re a longtime local or just passing through, Cheyenne’s culinary and retail landscape is growing in all the right ways. Be sure to support these fresh faces and flavor-forward spaces as they open their doors this summer.
