Habitat For Humanity Making Homeownership Possible

Habitat for Humanity of Larmaie County has once again helped the dream of owning a home come true! Jaime Stephenson is Habitat's newest homeowner. Earlier this week Jaime was able to close on his family's home with the help of #1 Properties very own J. Fred Volk, who also serves on the board for Habitat for Humanity. Congratulations to Jaime and his children on their new home!

Since 1991, Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County has been building affordable housing for income qualified partner families to call home.  These families purchase their homes by contributing 400 hours of sweat equity, and with an affordable mortgage.

In addition to building homes, Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County also offers Habitat Repairs, a program to assist existing low-income homeowners with repairs to keep their homes safe and secure.

To help support these programs is the Habitat ReStore, which is a home improvement outlet that sells deeply discounted tools, building materials, furniture and home decor items. The Habitat ReStore will be opening up soon at its new location at 715 E. 15th Street. While the ReStore is waiting to be reopened you can shop online by going to cheyennehabitat.org/shop for a wide variety of household items and materials.
