Fun for the Whole Family: The Laramie County Fair

The Laramie County Fair kicks off this week on Wednesday, July 29th and lasts until Saturday, August 8th. Being Wyoming's largest county fair, it offers Laramie County residents a week packed full of fun (and often free) events, contests and more. Head out to the Archer Complex to see and join in on all the festivities.

All year long, Laramie County residents, old and young alike, prepare for this week. There's the 4-H and Open Dog Shows on Wednesday, July 29th. The rabbit shows are on Thursday, July 30th. Poultry, goat and sheep shows take place throughout the first weekend of the fair. Livestock sales take place during the final weekend of the fair. Not to mention, there are contests for home grown vegetables, culinary goodies, arts and crafts and floriculture beauties. Come support local contestants and view Laramie County's finest!

More than just agriculture, the fair includes creativity, good food, and some old-fashioned Western fun. Attend the rodeo or watch some pig wrestling at one of the fair nights. Pie Baking Contest | Aug. 3rd – Judged based on flavor, filling, crust and overall appearance; Crust and filling must be homemade

Bubblegum Blowing Contest | Aug. 5th – Free to enter and watch; No experience needed; Bubblegum provided
