Look To The Skies For An Aerial Salute To Our Health Care Professionals
Don't miss out on the Wyoming Air National Guard's 153rd Airlift Wing's aerial salute to the brave health care professionals on the frontlines in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This upcoming Friday, May 15th, the Wyoming Air National Guard will be presenting a two-ship C-130 flyover across each hospital around the state. They will be flying over the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and the Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Medical Center at 3:15 pm on Friday.
“We salute all those, both around the state of Wyoming and across the nation who have sacrificed so much to serve on the frontlines of this pandemic,” said Col. Justin Walrath, 153rd Airlift Wing commander and pilot, WYANG, “it’s truly an honor for the men and women of the Wyoming Air National Guard to provide a ‘thank you’ to the first responders, medical professionals, and essential personnel providing support at this time.”

F.E. Warren Air Force Base will also be honoring Cheyenne's frontline COVID-19 responders this Saturday, May 16th with a flyover of four UH-1N Hueys from the 37th Helicopter Squadron. They will be flying over the Cheyenne proper, then over Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and the state capitol at noon on Saturday.
"This is an opportunity for us to express our sincere appreciation to all of Cheyenne’s healthcare workers, first responders and essential personnel who are working on the front lines to combat the coronavirus,” 90th Missile Wing Commander Col. Peter M. Bonetti said in a press release.
