A Conversation with Garry Chadwick, REALTOR® of the YEAR 2026
The Southern Wyoming REALTORS® Association (SOWY) announced last week 2026's REALTOR® of the Year is #1 Properties own: Garry Chadwick. Garry's approach to real estate is anchored in connection and trust. He treats every client like family, because, in his words, "that's how I believe business should be done." No wonder he was chosen by the SOWY for this honor.
We sat down with Garry for a quick Q&A. Read the conversation below to learn more about the 2026 REALTOR® of the Year.
Question: How long have you been working in real estate?
Answer: I began my career in real estate in January 2016, and for the past decade, it has been an incredibly rewarding journey.
Question: What is your favorite thing about being a real estate agent?
Answer: My favorite thing is staying busy while helping people through such an important time in their lives. During a transaction, my clients and I become very close—we often communicate every day and build a genuine connection. The hardest part is not spending as much time together once the transaction is complete, but I always try to stay in touch and continue those relationships.
Question: You’ve lived in Cheyenne all your life. What makes it such a great place to live?
Answer: Cheyenne is home. It is familiar, welcoming, and filled with wonderful people. There is truly no other place quite like it, and I feel fortunate to help others make their home here, too.
Question: Is there a time when you were over the moon for a client, or do you have a favorite client success story?
Answer: It would be impossible for me to choose just one favorite client success story. Every client’s journey is different, and each home purchase or sale brings its own challenges, meaningful moments, and reasons to celebrate. It’s very satisfying whenever I see the happiness and relief on my clients’ faces and know they feel at home with the outcome. That feeling never gets old—it brings me so much joy and reminds me why I love helping people through real estate.
